LORIS provides structural designs for a wide variety of structures that enhance a site’s identity; provide structural stability, such as retaining walls; park structures; safety structures; monuments that honor people, events, and places; and structures that provide recreational enjoyment.
Development on challenging sites often requires retaining walls to solve grading and right-of-way issues. Our engineers are masters of a wide range of retaining wall types, including cantilevered concrete, mechanically stabilized earth, piles with lagging, reinforced earth, soil nail, boulder, and cribbing. Each site has its own unique constraints. With our broad retaining wall knowledge, we can efficiently design walls that are from several feet high to over 50 feet high. And, we also understand how to work with the many aesthetic treatments available to make these walls fit in with their surroundings.
